Kathy Hilton went full cringe when she mistook Lizzo for Precious actress Gabourey Sidibe on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen!

During a game called “Will Kathy Know Them?” where the RHOBH adjacent socialite had to guess the person in a photo (Lizzo), she answered with, “Precious?”—referring to Sidibe who played the role of Precious in the 2009 film. After Andy Cohen and Crystal Minkoff nearly lost it over Kathy’s answer, Minkoff tried to save face by saying “She is precious though! Lizzo is precious,” while Kathy added, “That’s, like, what I call her…her nickname is precious to me.”

Immediately after the mishap, Kathy received a barrage of backlash for the Lizzo-Gabourey mixup, with some calling her response racist which clearly displayed an “all black people look alike” mentality.

Now, I know Kathy Hilton doesn’t know much, but how the hell did she manage to confuse Lizzo with Gabourey Sidibe?
That certainly plays into the “we all look alike to them” trope.
