In an unprecedented move, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle sent a scathing letter to four U.K. tabloids because they have had it with the media! The royal couple, who have been social-distancing in their new LA residence, detailed their strict “zero engagement” and “no corroboration” policy against four British publications.
“It is gravely concerning that an influential slice of the media, over many years, has sought to insulate themselves from taking accountability for what they say or print — even when they know it to be distorted, false, or invasive beyond reason,” the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stated in the letter. Adding that “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have watched people they know — as well as complete strangers — have their lives completely pulled apart for no good reason, other than the fact that salacious gossip boosts advertising revenue.”
Meghan Markle is currently in a legal battle with The Daily Mail for publishing a private letter she sent to her estranged father, Thomas Markle, regarding his absence at the royal wedding.
