After six days of search efforts, Ventura officials have confirmed that Naya Rivera’s body was recovered from Southern California’s Lake Piru where the former Glee star went missing. Naya’s family and Glee co-stars gathered at the scene after her body was found.
This photo of the cast of #Glee gathering together at Lake Piru today where #NayaRivera’s body was found is incredibly powerful — especially when you consider today is the 7 year anniversary of Cory Monteith’s death. I’m a mess. pic.twitter.com/RhY9hUb78E

“We are confident the body we found is that of Naya Rivera,” Ventura County Sheriff Bill Ayub said during today’s press conference, adding that “there is no indication of foul play or that this was a suicide,” CNN reports.

Naya’s four-year-old son, Josey Hollis Dorsey, was found alone on a pontoon boat last week. After being discovered by a passerby, the toddler told officials that his mother never got back on board after the two went swimming, leaving investigators to presume that she drowned.
Naya made her television debut on The Royal Family (1991-1992) at just four-years-old where she starred alongside Jackée Harry. Several TV appearances later, Naya nabbed her most notable role to date as Santana Lopez in the hit FOX series Glee (2009-2015).
Naya leaves behind her son with whom she shared with her ex-husband, Ryan Dorsey. We’re sending our condolences to the family, friends, and fans of Naya Rivera and may her memory live on in the hearts of all.
