From Mar-a-lago back to MAGA-town, it looks like former president Donald Trump is headed back to the White House.

In a historic comeback, Trump beat Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 Presidential Election, surpassing the required 270 electoral votes and claiming victory in the swing states of Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Wisconsin, per a projection by NBC News. In a stunning turn of events to some, Trump secured the win after he was convicted of 34 felonies, two assassination attempts, two impeachments, and the infamous Jan 6th (2021) insurrection at the Capitol.

In a victory speech, Trump made promises of peace, saying, “It’s time to put the divisions of the past four years behind us” and “It’s time to unite … success will bring us together.” He continued, “I’ll be fighting for you, and with every breath in my body,” and “I will not rest until we deliver the strong, safe and prosperous America that our children deserve and that you deserve.” He did not mention his opponent, VP Kamala Harris, in the speech.
