The theme for this year’s Met Gala was the “Gilded Glamour and White Tie” and the celebrities did not disappoint! Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson graced the Met red carpet for the first time, and Jared Leto, Chloe Bailey, Blake Lively, and more, did not come to play!
First up is Kim Kardashian who showed up to the Met to serve the ultimate vintage glamour! The reality TV mogul wore the same bedazzled dress the iconic Marilyn Monroe wore to sing her legendary seductive rendition of “Happy Birthday” to President John F. Kennedy in 1962. And not only is Kim the first person to rock the iconic dress since Marilyn, but she also reportedly dropped 16 lbs to fit in it!
Celebrity style icon Blake Lively, who’s also co-chair of the gala, stunned as a Greek goddess in an Atelier Versace metallic gown, which had a reversible train that turned aqua when flipped.
Jared Leto, who’s no stranger to Met Gala red carpet, was also in the house but he had a trick up his sleeve. Fredrik Robertsson, a Swedish influencer and Jared Leto look-a-like who was mistaken as the actor, graced the red carpet in a three-dimensional Dutch designer Iris Van Herpen jumpsuit, adorned with pin-like embellishments.
Jared actually hit the red carpet in the same ensemble as Gucci director, Alessandro Michelle. Talk about twinning!
Last but certainly not least, “Treat Me” songbird Chloe Bailey sent the internet buzzin’ when showed up in a dazzling abstract gold gown, that in true Chloe fashion had a thigh-high split. The ensemble, which some believe is a tribute to Beyoncé and her “Beyhive,” was equipped with a bubble-inspired asymmetrical bust and a gold-winged choker.
