Wendy Williams isn’t doing so well after reportedly being hospitalized over psychiatric concerns. According to The Sun, an ambulance transported a 57-year-old woman from Wendy’s residential address to the hospital for a psychiatric evaluation on Tuesday. The outlet said the description of the woman appeared to match Wendy Williams, although the NYPD would not confirm her identity. This info comes after The Wendy Williams Show announced on Instagram that Wendy tested positive for a breakthrough case of COVID-19 and will be pushing her 13th season premiere from September 20th to October 4th.
A source told Page Six that “it has been a very difficult time for Wendy.” In addition to being “a single woman with very few friends,” the source said, she’s lost her marriage and her mom, and “there’s a lot on her plate.” Wendy’s reported mental health hospitalization comes a week after The Wendy Show shared with Instagram that Wendy was “dealing with ongoing health issues and is undergoing further evaluations” and would miss scheduled promotional events leading up to the original season 13 premiere date of September 20th.
We’re sending love and light to Wendy Williams and wish her a speedy recovery.
