The heat may have been on for the DWTS couples but it was Tyra Banks who got caught in the crossfire last night. In a true “Steve Harvey during Miss Universe” moment, Tyra closed the emotionally-charged episode with a monumental mishap during the elimination. Announcing Monica Aldama and Val Chmerkovskiy as safe when they really were in the bottom two, the notecard misprint left contestants, fans, and even Tyra a bit confused. The America’s Next Top Model host took to Twitter to address last night’s “challenging” mistake.
Wowzers. Live TV. Wrong name on cards. So challenging to deal with moments like these. But we power through.

After calling Monica and Val came back on stage, Tyra clarified that they were in the bottom two along with Anne Heche and Keo Motsepe, whom were eventually eliminated and sent home.
Naturally, fans also took to Twitter to react to the Dancing With The Stars debacle because it wouldn’t be live TV otherwise, right?
You know… this live TV snafu would NEVER have happened under Tom Bergeron’s watch #DWTS pic.twitter.com/gpK5rKJaIZ
