It looks like everyone’s schedule is being adjusted, including the eligibility and voting deadlines for this year’s Emmy Awards. Although the Creative Emmy Awards and Primetime Emmy shows are still scheduled for Sept. 12-13 and Sept. 20, respectively, the TV academy is pushing back the entry deadline to May 11th to June 5th, phase one voting from June 15-29th to July 2-13, nominations announcement date from July 14th to July 28th and phase two voting to begin four days later starting August 21st through the 31st.
There’s a silver lining however, as the deadline for hanging episodes for Regular and Limited series have been extended from May 31st to June 30th—given they’ve premiered by the original date of May 31st. It’s unclear which series may benefit from the adjusted schedule due to production delays.
What do you think of the adjusted schedule, and will you be tuning in to the 72nd Primetime Emmy awards on Sept 20th?!
