Jeannie Mai is about to be a mom!

Just a few months into her marriage with rapper Jeezy, The Real talk show host reveals they’re expecting their first child. Jeannie broke the news on the show and addressed her previous statements about not wanting children.

“It feels surreal because this is the same home that I said so many defiant things. You know, I was like, I know exactly what I want, I know exactly what kind of woman I want to be, and I always said, I’d never be a mom,” Mai told her cohosts. “And there’s so many reasons now that are coming to fruition as to why I would have said that then, but I do know that you never say never, and that love can really change you.”

Jeannie, who married Jeezy in an intimate wedding back in March, revealed to Women’s Health that she was pregnant once before, prior to her nuptials to the “Soul Survivor” dirty south rapper, but unfortunately miscarried—adding that maybe she was being “punished” for her past stance on not wanting children.

“I wondered if I was being punished. I wondered if I’d jinxed myself or cursed myself,” Jeannie shared—adding that “my entire life, I never wanted children. When I say never, I’m talking a hard-stop never.”

Despite the miscarriage, Jeannie found out she was pregnant again just a week after she and Jeezy got married, Women’s Health reports. The due date hasn’t been revealed but according to Jeannie, she and Jeezy have been holding the secret for 5 months.
