With the current state of coronavirus, it’s no longer safe to go door-to-door to encourage people to vote but that’s not stopping Oprah Winfrey from putting in the work! In partnership with Beto O’Rourke‘s Powered by People organization, Oprah cold-called prospective voters in Texas to rally them to the polls but her first starstruck caller, Christian, didn’t need much convincing!

Since I can’t go knocking on people’s doors this election, I spent today talking with @betoorourke and calling Texas voters to make sure they have a voting plan. When asked where Christian was in terms of voting on a scale of one to 10, Christian responded with a resounding 11. Oprah— dressed in a “Your Voice Matters” tee and seemingly shocked at how well her first call was going—was in awe as the caller stressed the importance of voting and shared his own plans for rallying his friends to the polls.
