It’s your funeral, or so Eminem said when he announced the drop of his surprise album, Music to Be Murdered By. This 20-track album is his 11th studio project and includes features from Ed Sheeran and the late rapper Juice WRLD. But what’s most shocking is his music video for “Darkness” which draws a controversial comparison to the 2017 Las Vegas mass shooting.

With lyrics like “I’m a licensed gun owner with no prior convictions” and “if you’d like to know the reason why I did this, you’ll never find a motive,” Eminem sends a stark call to action for gun control. He also encouraged his fans to vote to “help change gun laws in America.”
