The 2024 Oscars Nominations, announced by Zazie Beetz and Jack Quaid, woke up and chose violence with a star-studded lineup of incredible talent that will be vying for that #1 spot! Sterling K Brown, Lily Gladstone, Ryan Gosling, and Danielle Brooks are just a few of this year’s nominees.

Sterling K. Brown, who received his very first Oscars nom for Jeffrey Wright-directed American Fiction, will go toe-to-toe with Hollywood heavyweights Robert DeNiro, Robert Downy Jr., Ryan Gosling, and Mark Ruffalo for Best Supporting Actor.

The actress categories are just as fierce with Lily Gladstone making history as the first native American actress to be nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role for Killers of the Flower Moon. She’ll compete against Emma Stone (Poor Things), Annette Bening (Nyad), Sandra Huller (Anatomy of a Fall), and Carey Mulligan (Maestro).

Oscars nom vet Jodie Foster has her work cut out for her in the Best Supporting Actress category as she’ll go against first-time nominees, America Ferrera (Barbie), Danielle Brooks (The Color Purple), Da’Vine Joy Randolph (The Holdovers), and Oppenheimer’s Emily Blunt.

In addition to the above singular categories, Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer swept the Oscars noms with 13 nods, Yorgos Lanthimos’ Poor Things with 11, Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon with 10, and Greta Gerwig’s Barbie with 8.
