Jesse Williams’ $40,000 monthly child support is about to give this former Grey’s Anatomy star a heart attack!
It’s been nearly three years since Jesse was ordered to pay $40,000 in monthly child support amid his divorce from his ex-wife, Aryn Drake-Lee. Citing his exit from Grey’s as the reason in court docs obtained by E! News, Jesse is asking the court to reduce the payments because they’re “no longer reasonable.”
“I am requesting the Court reduce the child support to a reasonable amount I can afford given the significant reduction in my income and the now fluctuating nature of my income,” Williams said in court docs. “I appeared on the television show Grey’s Anatomy (“Grey’s“), which was the primary source of income for our family throughout the marriage and for me, post-separation. I am no longer on Grey’s. My last appearance was in May 2021.”
The dreamy-eyed heartthrob claims he only makes $1,668 a week compared to his grand total of $6.2 million and $183,000 in residuals from “Grey’s,” and said his children wouldn’t be impacted by the decrease since they’ve always lived “a modest lifestyle.”
Jessie—who tied the knot with his now ex-wife Aryn in 2012—filed for divorce in April 2017 and drama ensued when Jesse claimed Aryn was keeping him from their kids, daughter Sadie and son Maceo.
