If they say three’s a crowd, then what’s ten?!
South African woman Gosiame Thamara Sithole, 37, reportedly gave birth to a whopping ten babies—seven boys, and three girls. Gosiame and her husband Teboho Tsotetsi were originally prepared for eight babies based on previous scans but were surprised when she gave birth to two bonus bundles of joy!
“It’s seven boys and three girls. I am happy. I am emotional. I can’t talk much,” her husband Teboho Tsotetsi shared with Pretoria News.
If the reports are true, Gosiame will set a new world record for birthing the most babies at a single birth, knocking Nadya Suleman aka “Octomom”—who birthed eight babies in 2009—off the throne. Prior to Gosiame’s alleged ten babies, she birthed twins who are now six years old. Per BBC, Guinness World Records is currently investigating Gosiame’s case.
