It looks like Mo’Nique gets the last laugh!
After a years-long battle with streaming giant Netflix, Mo’Nique announced she’ll be releasing a new comedy special and word on the street is she’ll be paid significantly more than that “low-ball” offer back in 2018! Netflix took to Twitter to spread the good news.

In addition to the comedy special, Mo’Nique will also team back up with Precious director Lee Daniels for a new Netflix film called The Deliverance. This news comes after Mo reportedly reached a settlement with the streaming giant after suing them for “lowballing” her with a $500k rate for a 2018 comedy special when her comedic counterparts, Amy Schumer, Dave Chappelle, and Chris Rock, were paid between $11 million and $20 million.
