Lori Harvey, whose birthday is on January 13th, had no idea that her Creed beau Michael B. Jordan was going to bankroll her super surprise 25th birthday celebration at the Malibu restaurant, Nobu. Although Michael was noticeably absent from the birthday festivities, he reportedly planned the surprise shindig that adorably shocked his leading lady.

Normani and Ryan Destiny were among some of Lori’s close friends who attended her birthday dinner. MBJ—who recently told Extra he’s been super “locked into” his directorial debut with Creed lll—probably would have been there if he wasn’t tied up with work, Yahoo!News reported. Per Page Six, Lori’s manager told her that “[Michael] loves you and can’t be here tonight, but enjoy your night. it’s on him.”
