Meghan Markle’s estranged father Thomas Markle is back with the drama, but this time it’s about his grandbabies!
During a recent Good Morning Britain interview, Thomas addressed the “childish” rift between himself and his daughter Meghan, and pleaded that she and Prince Harry allow him to meet his grandkids, 2-year-old Archie and 4-month-old Lilibet.
“We’re at a point where I think both of us, we should grow up, talk, make up for the sake of the children,” Thomas shared. “This is ridiculous. Almost four years. It’s crazy.”
He mentioned that he could pursue legal action to be able to meet his grandchildren, but has decided against it because he doesn’t want “hostile parents” when he finally meets them.
“People have suggested in California I could sue to see my grandkids. But I think if I did that I’d be doing the same thing Meghan and Harry are doing,” Thomas told the outlet. “I don’t want to include my grandchildren in this situation, I want to see my grandchildren with friendly parents and friendship all around. I don’t want hostile parents when seeing my grandchildren. So I’ll wait.”
Thomas went on to explain the importance of Meghan and Prince Harry’s kids getting to know both of their families, as they will eventually “want to know more about them.” He also said that he’ll continue to communicate with the press until Meghan decides to speak to him.
Thomas and Meghan’s estranged relationship surfaced in the months leading up to her nuptials to Prince Harry. Meghan was reportedly “disturbed” by Thomas staging paparazzi photos to make him look better in the press, US Weekly reported. In addition, just one day after the photo scandal surfaced and five days before the wedding Thomas announced he would not attend because he had a heart attack.
