It looks like Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, is taking his talents to, while scouting talent from, Skid Row.
In collaboration with David Sabastian’s streetwear brand Skid Row Fashion Week (SRFW), the Yeezy creator wants to recruit the homeless to rip the runway in his next fashion show. In true Ye fashion, Mr. West reportedly wants to add clothing items found on Skid Row to the final looks, e.g., trash bag puffer jackets, and more, TMZ reports.
The collab between Kanye and the SRFW streetwear brand—which already donates a portion of their sales to help Skid Row residents and those who work in the factories where the clothes are made—will donate all proceeds from the innovative fashion event to further assist the homeless on Skid Row.
The clothing line is slated to drop on February 22nd—will you be purchasing items to help the homeless? Tune in to see what our Dish Nation hosts think about the duo’s philanthropic deeds.
