Jamie Foxx might be on the mend from his medical emergency, but one of his Instagram posts stirred the pot and Jennifer Aniston may have been holding the spoon!
The “Blame It” singer shared a post over the weekend that said, “They killed this dude named Jesus what do you think they’ll do to you? #fake friends #fake love,” and it immediately received backlash from the Jewish community.
The post was deemed anti-Semitic because it promotes the idea of “Jewish deicide” or “the charge that Jews bear eternal responsibility for the death of Jesus Christ,” per the American Jewish Committee. Jennifer Aniston allegedly liked Jamie’s post before it was deleted, but quickly denied doing so on her Instagram stories after receiving backlash.
“this really makes me sick. i do not support any form of antisemitism. and i truly don’t tolerate hate of any kind period,” Aniston shared.
Jamie issued an apology, explaining that he was betrayed by a “ fake friend” and that’s what he meant by “they”—adding that he only has love in his heart for all and offered his deepest apologies to anyone who was offended.
