Jada Pinkett-Smith’s Red Table Talk kicked off its new season, but if you’re looking for some tea on Will Smith’s infamous Oscars slap, you’ll be disappointed! The new season opened with a title card that mentioned the slap seen and heard around the world, but that was about it.
“The Smith family has been focused on “deep healing.” They continued, “some of the discoveries around our healing will be shared at the table when the time calls.”
The RTT season premiere proceeded with special guest Janelle Monae—one of many celebs that will join this season’s lineup—but there was no more mention of Will slapping Chris Rock. As many fans thought the pop culture moment would be hashed out over the red table during the season premiere, where they’ve discussed relationship issues including Jada’s entanglement with August Alsina, the viewers were left parched with not a sip of Oscars tea!

The Fresh Prince slapped Chris Rock Big Willie Style while he was onstage presenting at the Oscars. The now-infamous interaction between the two happened after Chris made a “G.I. Jane” joke about Jada Pinkett-Smith, who recently decided to go bald because of her alopecia.
Do you think Jada and Will should unpack the Oscars slap at the red table? Tune in to see what our Dish Nation hosts think about this.
