Vanessa Bryant’s 38th birthday was a bittersweet one—the first one since the passing of her husband, Kobe Bryant, 41, and 13-year-old daughter, Gianna. However, she shared one last heartfelt moment she was “looking forward to” on Instagram and honestly, it’s a tearjerker.
“Yesterday I found an envelope labeled To: The Love of my Life. From, Tu Papi. I waited to open one more letter on my birthday. It gave me something to look forward to today.❤️” Vanessa said in a heartwarming Instagram post.
On the cover of the letter was a photo of Vanessa drawn as an angel—something she found ironic considering their untimely passing just 4 months ago in a unfortunate helicopter crash. Although she was missing the Love of her Life and “sweet little Mamacita” and fellow Taurus, Gigi, she was grateful to spend the day with her 3 daughters, Natalia, 17, Bianka, 3, and 9-month-old Capri.
