The king of blockbuster hits, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, has his eyes set on James Bond!
The Red Notice star told Esquire that he wants to be the next James Bond. The Rock’s Grandfather, pro-wrestler Peter Maivia, appeared in the 1967 film You Only Live Twice and The Rock wants to carry on the family tradition.
“Yes, my grandfather was a Bond villain in You Only Live Twice with Sean Connery. Very, very cool,’ Dwayne told Esquire—adding “I would like to follow in his footsteps and be the next Bond. I don’t wanna be a villain. You gotta be Bond,’ he explained.
Daniel Craig, who first appeared as James Bond in Casino Royale in 2006, has gracefully bowed out of the 007 role. Do you think The Rock could be a suitable successor for the franchise?
