When KBXX 97.9 asked Damon if he’s an avid watcher of the Verzuz battles—which was birthed at the start of the pandemic to showcase musicians’ discographies—he admitted that he wasn’t but that he’d like to go up against fellow comedian heavyweight, Dave Chappelle, if given the opportunity.

“I’m calling him out,” Damon said during the interview. Best known for his roles on ’90s sketch comedy series In Living Color and TV sitcom My Wife and Kids, Wayans confidently challenged Dave, who snagged two Emmys for his most recent Netflix comedy special Sticks & Stones.
