We did not have Civil Rights activist Angela Davis being a descendant of the Mayflower on our Bingo card. At all.
On PBS’ Finding Your Roots, the former Black Panther found out her ancestors were aboard the Mayflower in 1620. “No, my ancestors did not come here on the Mayflower,” she reacted—adding “That’s a little bit too much to deal with right now.”
“Do you know what you’re looking at? That is a list of the passengers on the Mayflower.”
