Conservative commenter Candace Owens once ripped Carlee Russell apart for her kidnapping hoax, saying she’s “10x worse than” Jussie Smollett and should “spend some time in prison,” but now she’s begging her for an interview. In a PSA, Candace offered to pay Carlee’s $18,000 restitution for an interview about where she was for the 48 hours she was missing.

On July 13th, Carlee faked her own kidnapping and was missing for 48 hours. In an official statement released by Carlee’s attorney, she later admitted to faking the kidnapping.

 “My client was not with anyone or any hotel with anyone during the time she was missing. My client apologizes for her actions to this community, the volunteers that were searching for her, to Hoover Police Department and other agencies as well. We ask for your prayers for Carlee as she addresses her issues and attempts to move forward, understanding that she made a mistake, Carlee again asks for your forgiveness.”

Carlee was found guilty of two misdemeanor charges for lying to police about being kidnapped and seeing a baby walking on the side of the highway in Hoover, AL. The judge ordered she pay $18,000 in restitution and recommended Carlee spend up to a year in jail, six months for each charge.
