It looks like 7-year-old Blue Ivy is caught in the cross hairs of a nasty trademarking battle! Veronica Morales, who owns the trademark to “Blue Ivy” for her wedding planning company, is challenging Beyonce’s 2012’s application. Even though Veronica held the trademark first, that surely isn’t stopping Beyonce from fighting.
The “Bow Down” singer recently filed documents indicating “that consumers are likely to be confused between a boutique wedding event planning business and Blue Ivy Carter, the daughter of two of the most famous performers in the world”—adding that Veronica’s pushback is “frivolous and should be refused in its entirety,” Entertainment Tonight reports. The documents also describe Blue Ivy as a “cultural icon” and “mini style star” who should be the face of the “Blue Ivy” trademark. What do you think of Beyonce challenging Veronica for the Blue Ivy trademark? Tune in to today’s Dish Nation to see what our hosts think about this!
