If there’s anyone Kim Kardashian can count on for support during her marital drama, it’s her family! Sources reveal that although Kim wanted to do everything she could to save her marriage with Kanye West, deep down inside her family feels a “sense of relief” that she’s finally walking away, US Weekly reports.
Publicly the family is saying they’re very sad this has come to an end, but there’s a definite sense of relief that she’s finally had the courage to rip off the Band-Aid and walk away,” an insider shared.
After Kanye’s controversial support for Donald Trump, his impromptu and seemingly rash run for the 2020 presidency, and a cringe-worthy campaign rally with a tumultuous tweet-storm to follow, the source revealed that Kim’s family “saw the writing on the wall for literally years” and attributed most of the couples’ “ups and downs” to Kanye’s bipolar disorder. Kim addressed Kanye’s mental health issues in a series of Instagram stories shortly after his breakdown during his campaign rally.
Speculation of the couple’s impending split was sparked after Kim reportedly sought legal counsel from high-powered Hollywood divorce attorney, Laura Wasser. Additionally, Kanye was noticeably absent in all of Kim Kardashian’s holiday photos with their four kids, North West, 7, Saint West, 5, Chicago West, 2, and Psalm West, 20 months.
