Wendy doesn’t seem to be doin’ well.
The long-awaited Where is Wendy Williams? two-part docuseries aired on Lifetime this weekend and the internet has thoughts.
Some were disappointed in the portrayal of Wendy Williams which detailed her current health issues, i.e., Graves Disease, Lymphedema, frontotemporal dementia, aphasia, and alcoholism.
Wendy appeared irritable, erratic, emotional, and confused throughout the entire doc and fans want to know who green-lit it in the first place. Despite being listed as executive producer on the docuseries, some fans believe Wendy was not of sound mind to approve its release. On the contrary, others appreciated and praised Wendy for her bravery and transparency.
In a press release last week, Wendy’s team confirmed she was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD) and aphasia in 2023 after a “battery of medical tests” and is currently receiving the medical care she needs, PR Newswire reported. This news followed claims of Wendy’s family being shocked and heartbroken over her spiraling behavior and her niece Alex Finnie telling The View that their family has very “limited contact” with her—similar sentiments were shared by other family members in the docuseries.
