Sending love and light to Wendy Williams, 59, who was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD) and aphasia last year, her team confirmed in a statement per PR Newswire.
Following recent claims that her family is shocked and heartbroken over her spiraling behavior, and even her niece Alex Finnie telling The View that their family has had very “limited contact” and updates from her guardianship have been sparse, Wendy’s team is setting the record straight.

The press release revealed Wendy underwent a “battery of medical tests” in 2023 after she had trouble speaking and was acting erratically. The tests concluded Wendy is suffering from FTD and Aphasia, both progressive neurodegenerative diseases, and she’s receiving the medical care she needs.
