TRACY MORGAN OPENS UP ABOUT SUICIDE AND VISITING THE AFTERLIFE
Friday, Mar 25, 2016
Beloved comedian Tracy Morgan has opened up about his darkest days in a compelling Rolling Stone interview. Tracy survived a horrible car accident in 2014 that left him in critical condition and his good friend dead. This is what Tracy had to say about the recovery process and the suicidal thoughts he dealt with,
“I said, ‘If my funny ever went away, I’d die.’ And I thought I was going to die for a long time. My thoughts—I was in a very dark place. I was sitting right here, contemplating suicide. I couldn’t walk.”
So sad! Tracy has overcome those thoughts and has had an incredible comeback both in his health and career. He also made it clear in the interview that he has a lot of things to live for including his wife and children.
Tracy also talks about visiting the afterlife and seeing his father who died of AIDS when the comedian was only nineteen. He says that he avoided the white light in heaven because “he thought it was the police.” Ha! But it was really his dad who told him to go back to earth,
“He was the one who said, ‘Go home, son. I ain’t ready for you yet.’ I don’t think I cheated death. I think this was the plan. My room wasn’t ready.”
It’s amazing that Tracy is doing so well and great that he’s opening up about his struggles. We are sure this will help many people in recovery. Go Tracy!
