TOM BRADY SAYS HIS WIFE GISELE WANTS HIM TO RETIRE
Thursday, Feb 9, 2017
Tom Brady just won his fifth Super Bowl … So why is Gisele calling a time out? During an interview with SiriusXM NFL Radio, Brady said:
“If it was up to my wife, she would have me retire today. She told me that last night three times. And I said, ‘Too bad, babe, I’m having too much fun right now.’ You know, I feel like I can still do it. If you love what you do and you’re capable of doing it, then I might be so bored if I wasn’t going out there knowing that I could still do it. So I’m going to work hard to be ready to go, and I still plan on playing for a long time.”
At 39 years old, does it make sense for Tom Brady to start thinking about retirement from being the football quarterback for the Patriots? Also, one might think that after winning five Super Bowls, four Super Bowl MVP awards and two league MVP awards, you’ve done your time. Not Tom Brady!
During Fox’s pregame show, when Tom was asked if he would retire if he won the Super Bowl against the Falcons, he said:
“Hell no. There’s no way. I’m having too much fun now. This is the time to capitalize. I’ve worked too hard to get to this point.”
He’s not the oldest player to ever play. George Blanda was 48 when he retired.
That’s a lot more Patriots‘ Super Bowl wins we have to sit through.
