THERE’S SOME SILLY DIVA DRAMA BREWING ON THE SERIES “NEW GIRL” — BETWEEN THE GUYS!

Damon Wayans Jr. may be ecstatic to be back on the Zooey Deschanel Fox sitcom, but actor and “New Girl” regular Lamorne Morris doesn’t think it’s so funny.
Morris was hired to replace the void left by Wayans, but now that Damon is back as a series regular Lamorne’s a little worried that his role will be diminished.
“Lamorne isn’t worried about losing his job,” an insider told Dish Nation. “But he is concerned about the lack of storyline in his future. Damon was one of the original leads and now that he’s back, Lamorne’s feeling more than a little anxious about what’s in store for his character. It’s an awkward, unsaid uneasiness. Put yourself in Lamorne’s shoes – the beloved star he replaced is back as a series regular – of course he’s worried.”
Damon appeared in the pilot episode in 2011, but had to bow out because of his commitment to the now-cancelled ABC series “Happy Endings.”
Wayans, who plays personal trainer Coach, was originally signed on for a four-episode storyline, but producers decided to bring him back as a regular for the upcoming fourth season. Morris has been portraying former basketball player Winston Bishop since the show’s second episode.
“Damon and Lamorne are friendly towards each other, but competitive too,” adds the insider. “They’re like two brothers trying to outdo each other. Everyone on the cast and crew loved seeing Damon come back and greeted him with open arms. Meanwhile, Lamorne was like, ‘Hello, what about me?’ Now its become a running joke with the crew – whenever they see Lamorne on set they say, “Damon’s back, why are you still here?”
