In another shocking turn of events, Tamar Braxton’s fiancé, David Adefeso, has filed a domestic violence restraining order against the Braxton Family Values star, The Blast reports. This comes weeks after Tamar revealed their secret engagement on Instagram and thanked him for saving her life after he found her unresponsive at the Ritz in LA.

In court documents obtained by The Blast, Adefeso requested that a judge order Tamar to stay away from him to prevent domestic violence. It’s unclear what events transpired prior to Adefeso filing the restraining order.

Just hours before Tamar was hospitalized in July for taking “an unknown amount of prescription pills,” she canceled the couple’s latest episode of their YouTube series Coupled & Quarantined because she was “not feeling well.” David made the 911 call shortly after her overdose, mentioning that she was “very angry” with WeTV about her upcoming reality series, Tamar Braxton: Get Ya Life! According to The Jasmine Brand, sources close to the reality show described Adefeso as “very controlling” and his behavior towards Tamar and the show’s production as “alarming”.
