Sharon Osbourne may have stepped away from The Talk after defending Piers Morgan’s criticism of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah Winfrey, but she’s certainly not done talking! After her spirited debate with then co-host Sheryl Underwood regarding Piers Morgan’s backlash, Sheryl shared that Osbourne has not apologized to her on a three-part series of her podcast entitled “Sharon Walks Away.” However, Sharon shared some exclusive text message receipts with Daily Mail that show otherwise!
“Sheryl, My heart is heavy and I’m deeply saddened by the events that transpired on Wednesday. I don’t want to lose my true friend over this,” Sharon’s text read—continuing with “Im sorry for telling you to f— off during the break, I’m sorry for accusing you of fake crying while we were live on air I’m sorry for losing my temper with you. I felt shocked, scared and saddened by what felt like was a blind sided attack. You know me. You know how I’ve always had your back.”
Sharon concluded the reported text chain to Sheryl with one last message, asking how she can help heal the tension between the two.
“We’ve outlasted everyone on this show and that’s because we’ve always been a team and had each other backs. I consider you a genuine friend. If you want to talk on the phone over the weekend I’m here. Once again from the bottom of my heart I’m sorry. Is there anything You need from me of that I can do to help you heal? Love and respect always – Sharon.”
Their heated on-air argument happened on March 10th and was followed by a hiatus. After CBS launched an internal investigation, it was announced on March 26th that Sharon would not return to the talk show.
