Selena Gomez is not here for mean girls.

In a recent interview with Time Magazine, Selena explained why she prefers to keep a small circle of “levelheaded” friends who don’t “give two f***” about what she does.

“It’s a cliché, but girls are mean,” she explained. “It’s a very weird competition, being in the cool girls’ area—and then I’m just kind of like, there. I don’t know where I’m meant to belong.”

Selena has been known for her very public friendships with the likes of Demi Lovato, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, and more celeb “It Girls.”
