She claims the secret to her marriage is to have no friends… except each other. Salma Hayek has been married to François-Henri Pinault since 2009 and they have a 9-year-old daughter together named Valentina.
François-Henri Pinault is French and the CEO of Kering. He is said to be worth about $13 billion. Salma doesn’t do too bad herself at around $85 million. With money like that, who needs friends?
Salma Hayek opened up about her marriage at the Harper’s Bazaar’s150 Most Fashionable Women celebration where she is being honored and said:
“I married the right guy. That is probably the most important thing. We support each other in everything we do. We want the other one to strive. Makes you happy when the other one strives. And you know what, we don’t have a very strong social life, because we really like to spend time together. So we do spend a lot of quality time together.”
Do you think it’s important to have friends outside of a marriage or should your partner be your closest confidant?
