What was the prayer, Ciara?!
In a recent interview with I Am Athlete podcast, Russell Wilson got candid about stepping up to raise Ciara and “Mask Off” rapper Future’s 9-year-old son, Future Zahir.
Russell said after realizing Ciara was “the one” and meeting little Future for the first time, who was less than a year old at the time, God told him it was his responsibility to step in and raise him.
“When I walked in the room and I saw, you know, little Future—he’s nine months at the time or whatever—he crawls in my lap and it was like, you know, this is going to be my responsibility,” Russell shared. “I remember leaving that night and God said, saying to me, ‘Raising this child it’s going to be your responsibility.”
“You’ve got to love every single child as if they’re yours,” the father of four continued, calling it “the greatest gift.” Russell and Ciara, who married in 2016, have four kids, Future, 9, Sienna, 6, Win, 3, and Amora who was born in December.
