After just three months of dating, Rob, 29, popped the question on April 4 with a $325,000, seven-carat diamond ring. Afterwards, the couple celebrated their engagement with Chyna’s mother, Tokyo Toni, at Ace of Diamonds strip club in Los Angeles.
The engagement doesn’t come without controversy, as none of the Kardashian clan is happy about the prospect of Chyna, 27, entering the family.
It’s a tangled web — she was previously engaged to rapper Tyga, with whom she has son King Cairo, 3. The two broke up in late 2014, and Tyga, 26, has been dating Rob’s sister Kylie Jenner, 18, ever since.
“Kris is trying to act supportive about the engagement, and tells him that even the happiest couples have prenups — including Kim and Kanye, but he won’t budge,” the insider added.
“Everyone thinks he’s making the biggest mistake of his life by marrying her, and they all fear that Chyna is using him. Only time will tell, but at this point none of the family is planning to attend a wedding. The whole engagement is a source of contention for the family right now!”
