On the heels of his explosive tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey, Prince Harry is back at it and the two are teaming up for an Apple TV+ docuseries about mental health entitled The Me You Can’t See. In this new project he co-produced with Oprah, Prince Harry continues to shed a light on Meghan Markle’s mental health issues, feeling “trapped” within The Royal Family, and how they tried to stop him and his wife from breaking away from the family and leaving the UK.
“Eventually when I made that decision for my family, I was still told, ‘You can’t do this.’ And it’s like, ‘Well, how bad does it have to get until I am allowed to do this?’ She [Markle] was going to end her life. It shouldn’t have to get to that,” Prince Harry shared—adding that “There was no option to leave.”
He also drew comparisons of the experiences Meghan and his late mother Princess Diana had with The Royal Family—admitting that the thought of losing another woman in his life [Meghan] was very triggering for him. “It all comes back to the same people, the same business model—the same industry,” Harry shared—concluding that the Monarchy is the common denominator.
All episodes of The Me You Can’t See docuseries are available on Apple TV+ today.
