Uncle Phil gave Will Smith a home, guidance and love on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Philip Banks was the best onscreen father and uncle, and will forever be a beloved figure of 1990s television. Actor James Avery passed away in 2013, but his impression is a lasting and loving one.
We hope all of the dads out there have a wonderful Father’s day!
