Despite breakup reports, Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez reveal they are “working through some things” and are still very much together, they shared with People in a joint statement. In an effort to mend the relationship, A-Rod flew to the Dominican Republic over the weekend where J.Lo is working on a film, and the two reportedly had a “happy reunion,” an insider told the outlet.

“Alex flew to the Dominican Republic yesterday. Jennifer was excited to see him in person. They are really trying to figure things out,” a source told People.

Their reunion comes just days after their breakup rumors. “They never officially broke up and talked about it but are still together. They hit a rough patch. But were not broken up,” the source clarified. Other reports say the real reason J-Rod is “working through some things” is because of their kids—J Lo’s 13-year-old twins, Emme and Max, and A-Rod’s daughters, 16-year-old Natasha and 12-year-old Ella—who were reportedly blindsided and “devastated” over a possible breakup, TMZ reports.
