Following the devastating attacks on Brussels this week, Mariah Carey has been advised to cancel her concert there.
The show was supposed to be a part of her “Sweet Sweet Fantasy Tour,” which is scheduled to take her all throughout Europe. However, the diva took to her Twitter to inform ticket-buyers that the show, unfortunately, would not go on.
I love my fans in Brussels and at this time I am being advised to cancel my show for the safety of my fans, my band, crew and everyone…
While Mariah and her people seem to think that her performing there could be a safety issue, the venue where she was scheduled to appear is going forward with all other performances. According to their website,
“Guests are asked to come early and not bring any luggage, backpacks or large handbags, to respond to any requests of security services and to stay alert.”
Sounds quite scary, if you ask us. While we understand that some of Mariah’s fans in Brussels were totally looking forward to her concert, it’s no surprise that her team had her back out of the commitment.
