Nia Long sounds off on her estranged fiancé Ime Udoka’s cheating scandal and how disappointed she is with how the Boston Celtics handled it.
Nia told The Hollywood Reporter that the day the “devastating” news broke, she felt like her heart “jumped out” of her body. She revealed that she had to take her 11-year-old son out of school that day because “he was not having an easy time” with the news. She also slammed the Celtics for not calling to see if she and her children were ok.

“It was devastating, and it still is. He still has moments where it’s not easy for him. If you’re in the business of protecting women — I’m sorry, no one from the Celtics organization has even called to see if I’m OK, to see if my children are OK. It’s very disappointing.”

In September, the news broke that Nia’s long-term fiancé and Boston Celtics head coach, Ime Udoka, was suspended for the 2022-2023 season for having an inappropriate “intimate relationship” with one of the female franchise staffers. Following reports revealed the female staffer coordinated travel for Nia Long and her children to attend away games, and even assisted with her relocation to Boston.
