A month after Nene Leakes revealed that her husband Gregg Leakes was in the hospital because his cancer had returned, he’s finally back home after undergoing surgery and a 6-week hospital stay. Gregg’s homecoming was unveiled when a fan tweeted Nene about not showing up to cohost The Talk, ET Online reports. “I was suppose to be hosting the talk today but i got good news that Gregg was coming home after being hospitalized 6 weeks,” Nene shared with the tweeter.

During an interview with The Jasmine Brand last month, Nene shared that Gregg’s stage III colon cancer, which was diagnosed in 2018, was back and he was in the hospital for the same surgery he underwent with his initial diagnosis.

“He’s in the hospital. He’s been in the hospital, tomorrow it’ll be a week,” NeNe shared. “I’m sure he’ll be home in about a week or so. He had to have a surgery…his cancer did return.”

She later followed up with an Instagram post, sharing that since she hasn’t publicly spoken about Gregg’s current cancer status per his wishes, she was caught off guard when asked about his health.
