Idris Elba may be the hottest actor on the planet at the moment, but his side job as a DJ now has him juggling offers from Las Vegas casinos.

Dish Nation has learned that the British hunk’s hobby – he’s played at friends’ parties, BET events and festivals in the UK — has caught the eye of several big name casino bosses who are wooing him to become their nightclubs’ resident DJ.

A well placed Sin City source said: “Superstar DJs are the big thing here at the moment, as well as stars coming in to host special nights.”

“Idris fits into both categories. He’s a strong DJ who’ll bring real star quality to this town. Most club promoters have heard about Idris’ style or have experienced his stomping sets firsthand. That’s why they want – they want him to bring that energy to Vegas. Idris is busy making movies AND fielding offers from some of the top Vegas resorts.”

According to a source close to the actor, the “Pacific Rim” star, who’s been spinning records since he was 14, doesn’t think his film commitments will be a problem with Los Angeles just a 45 minute flight away.

A substnacial club residency paycheck could be the swaying factor.

“The money would amazing, we’re talking as much as $400,000 for a couple of hours of doing what he loves,” adds the Vegas source.

“The high end resorts see Idris as a great investment. Not just in terms of the PR it would generate, but the ticket sales they would earn from his movie fans and the female audience.”

Idris, who goes by the name DJ Driis, just booked his first big time festival gig in the next few weeks. He’ll share the stage with a raft of stars at the “Good Times In The Park” bash in London next month.

Elba, who learned his craft alongside his DJ uncle at weddings, will be a headliner alongside Chaka Khan, The Brand New Heavies and Ms. Dynamite.

Idris is one DJ we would definitely dance and swoon to.
