Looks like one adventurous man’s plan for a drunken joyride has been put on ice. Steve Anderson, a part-time employee of the Fargo Parks Department, was arrested for driving a Zamboni under the influence. You read that right: He got a DUI in a Zamboni.
The incident went down during a high school girls’ hockey game. An inebriated Anderson took to the ice in the massive machine and started weaving before smashing into the boards. Apparently, even driving in a circle proved too challenging for the sauced driver. Luckily, no one was hurt and the police soon arrived to arrest him.
Needless to say, the 27-year-old lost his job. Now, he understands even driving drunk on the ice isn’t very cool.
