Love & Hip Hop ATL star Maurice Fayne aka Arkansas Mo reportedly blew a major federal bankroll that unfortunately, bought him some serious drama with the law!
As the owner of a company called Flame Trucking, Fayne applied for a Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan to protect his employees amid the coronavirus crisis. However, he reportedly misused the $2,045,800 federal loan that was intended to stop his small businesses from struggling, by blowing $1.5m of it on lavish gifts such as a Rolex, a diamond ring and bracelet, $40,000 in child support, and more.
According to court documents, Fayne stated that he used the loan to cover the salaries of his employees and “expressly denied that he used any of the PPP loan proceeds to pay his personal debts,” CNN reports. But in a contrary statement, the documents indicate that “Fayne told the agents that he believed he had the right to use part of the PPP loan proceeds for ‘other business purposes’ and for ‘working capital.'”
Fayne was engaged to co-star Karlie Redd in 2018 but the two called it off last year.
