Kevin Hart has broken his silence since his horrific car accident that happened on September 1st. In an official statement released by Hart’s attorney, the Jumanji star sent a personal message to Jared Black and Rebecca Broxterman, the two other persons who were in the vehicle during the crash. It was reported that Kevin was in the passenger side of his 1970 Plymouth Barracuda when the car veered off Mulholland Highway—leaving Kevin and Jared with “major” back injuries. After undergoing surgery and spending 10 days in the hospital, Kevin was released to a physical therapy facility.

“I have nothing but love for Jared and wish him and Rebecca a speedy recovery,” Hart said in the statement, Entertainment Weekly reports.

Despite shooting some promotional videos for the Jumanji sequel, his attorney made it clear that Hart wouldn’t officially return back to work until 2020. We’re continuing to wish Kevin and all involved a speedy recovery.
