Justin Timberlake Supports Britney Spears Amid Her Fight to End Her “Abusive” Conservatorship

The Free Britney movement continues and this time Britney Spears’ infamous ex, Justin Timberlake, has her back amid her conservatorship controversy. Spears attended court by phone yesterday and spoke to Judge Brenda Penny about the “abusive” conservatorship she’s been under since 2008. After hearing a “traumatized” Britney describe the way she’s been treated by her “so-called” conservatorship team over the past 13 years, JT tweeted his support for Britney.

During the court proceedings, Britney said she’s been medicated (with Lithium) and given an IUD (birth control) against her will under the conservatorship that’s managed by her father Jamie Spears. She also said her dad “loved” having control over her.

Lithium is a very, very strong [medication] and completely different medication than what I’ve been on,” she explained. “I felt drunk. I couldn’t even stick up for myself. I couldn’t even have a conversation with my mom or dad about anything. I told them I was scared and they had six different nurses come to my home to monitor me while I was on this medication that I didn’t want to be on to begin with.”

In addition to slamming her family for not doing”a god**** thing” about the way she’s been treated, she also had a few words for the Judge—explaining that the last time she spoke out against the conservatorship she felt like she “didn’t matter” and that the court treated her like she was lying.
“I want to be heard. I’m telling you this again so that maybe you understand the depth and degree and the damage…I want and deserve changes going forward,” Spears said. “I just want my life back. It’s been 13 years and it’s enough.”
The next court hearing is scheduled for July 14th. Meanwhile, we’re sending love and light to Britney Spears and hope her conservatorship issues will be resolved. Tune in to see what our Dish Nation hosts have to say.
