Nothing was off limits while roasting Bieber, including crude jokes about his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez, and an array of highly offensive topics like abortion, ISIS murders, the Bill Cosby allegations, 9/11, Auschwitz, missing Malaysian Airlines flight 370 and the death of actor Paul Walker.
Here’s a sneak peek at some of the more offensive jokes of the evening:
“I lost my dad in 9/11 and I always regretted growing up without a dad… Until I met your dad, Justin,” Saturday Night Live cast member Pete Davidson joked. “Now I’m glad mine’s dead.”
“All these rappers on stage and Martha Stewart has done the most jail time! The most inhumane thing about the Cosby rapes is that a lot of them occurred on your linens,” Natasha Leggero said to Martha.
“I’m not saying Martha’s old, but Martha needs a new walker more than the Fast And Furious franchise.”
Hannibal Buress joked, “Justin signed the guest book at the Ann Frank and said that she should be a Belieber – but instead she lucked out and died at a concentration camp.”
Jeff Ross added, “If Anne Frank had heard your music, she would’ve Uber’d to Auschwitz.”
“I actually met Justin at the Laugh Factory in Hollywood a few times. This guy’s never not pulling his pants up and he’s never not high,” comedian Chris D’Elia joked. “He’s basically everyone Bill Cosby met from 1979 to 1989.”
D’Elia also hit Bieber hard with a Gomez joke: “Justin, why are you here? This is a terrible idea. You’re about to get f**ked harder than Orlando Bloom f**ked Selena Gomez.”
Actress and comedian Leggero didn’t hold back saying, “Justin was born to a teenage single mom. No wonder he’s got moves; he was in the womb dodging a coat hanger.”
But Bieber took it all in stride and even made fun of himself at the end of the night — announcing he plans to gain the public favor back again.
“This Roast is a turning point. And if there’s one thing I’m good at, it’s making turns. I turned a traffic stop into an assault charge. I turned a bucket into a urinal. I turned a plane into a bong. I even turned a Ferrari into a lamppost. Actually, I did that one several times. I turned a lot of people off over the last few years, but I know I can still turn out good music and I’ll turn everything around. You have my word; I will not end up broken, pathetic, bitter… Or sitting on somebody else’s Roast,” he said.
“There’s been moments that I’m really proud of and a lot of moments that I look back and I’m really disappointed in myself. But the things that I’ve done really don’t define who I am. I’m a kind-hearted person who loves people and through it all I lost some of my best qualities. For that, I’m sorry. But what I can say is that I’m looking forward to being someone you guys can all look at and be proud of. Someone you can smile at and see some of yourself in.”
Immediately following the Roast, Bieber took off in his private jet to celebrate his 21st birthday at Caesars Palace’s OMNIA nightclub in Las Vegas.
According to an insider, the main room in the club plays house music but since Bieber favors hip hop he had a section closed off just for him inside the “Heart Room” where his choice of music was played all night.
